Jesus said this… Matthew 10:34-39 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
We will be hated for the message of repentance that we have to bring. We will be hated because we call people from evil to light and because this message exposes their evil deeds.
Everyone loves John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
But if you keep reading you see the other side of the coin…
John 3:18-20 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
We as the church; the body of Christ are to reprove the world of sin. 80% of Americans claim to be Christians and yet if you begin to ask them questions about their faith, you quickly realize they are not born again at all. In fact, the results of a recent survey with very simple questions about being born again came out. Less than half of 1% of Americans are actually born again/saved people.
The church organizations have therefore failed. They get a big fat “F”. Why? Because they have portrayed Jesus as a feminine kind of teacher who is only loving. A lesser god who begs people to come to him.
GOD DOES NOT BEG ANYONE!
Listen to the God of the bible… Jesus said… Mat 23:13-15 … woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
vs. 25-26 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
This is so true of many teachers and preachers any most denominations and the so called “one true church” that claim to be Christian and are NOT.
This doesn’t sound like the Jesus you know does it? No, because it is the true Jesus. The Jesus of the bible.
Here is some good instruction to Christians from Paul… Eph 5:11-14 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather REPROVE THEM. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
Get in that King James Bible and study to find out who Jesus is and how to be saved!
Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. (Matthew 7:13)
When Jesus says the road is narrow and someone else says it’s wide, who is lying?
How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. (Proverbs 1:22)
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)
Life is had “by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (i.e. Genesis to Revelation). It is trust in the word of God that saves, as James exhorts,
Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1:21)
It is the word of God that saves (e.g. Luke 8:11-12). It is the word of God that must be believed (e.g. Genesis 15:5-6; Romans 4:3). If you are directed away from faith in the word of God, whatever the issue, this can lead to the destruction of your soul. Because, Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to him as righteousness (Genesis 15:5-6; Romans 4:3). If you do not believe God, it will be accounted to you as wickedness (Psalm 119:118; 1 John 5:10).
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. (1 Timothy 6:3-5)
If anyone teaches anything other than holy writ and does not heed Scriptural correction (“teaches otherwise and does not consent” 1 Timothy 6:3), then we are instructed to withdraw and turn away from such a person (1 Timothy 6:5; 2 Timothy 3:5). This is the opposite of agreeing to disagree. It is rather, agreeing to leave and not fellowship with them. Because…
He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray. (Proverbs 10:17)
Those who go astray from the word of God, are not in the truth and their words are words of deceit.
